OUR FOUNDER

Rusi B. Gimi is the founder of Outdoor Advertising in India, and started this Company in 1947 with the constant support of his wife, Zarin. They instilled strong family values in every member of the organisation, family as well as employees. The Company has grown beyond its founders’ dreams, but their successors continue to draw inspiration from these simple, yet dynamic individuals. The family and the Company – you can’t tell them apart. And that’s the way it’ll be. A philanthropist by nature, Rusi was basically a “people’s man”. Zarin and he built a life in which contribution to society was strongly interwoven, and this trend is seen in the Company’s continued involvement in various social welfare activities.

FAMILY BUSINESS OWNERS

Darius Bahadurji is the Chairman & Managing Director of Vantage. He and his wife, Tehnaz, daughter of Rusi and Zarin, grew up in Calcutta, and shifted to Chennai to launch Vantage. It was initially a very basic set-up with big ambitions and small projects. Through sheer grit, hard work and a few committed clients, the business gained momentum, with branches in Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai in Tamil Nadu, and further in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Cochin covering the Southern Region, as well as in Mumbai. Darius displays an indomitable will to succeed, through the toughest of times, nurturing and mentoring his team to stand their ground and set examples, while the Company finds new ways to prosper, and moves from generation to generation.
